Date: Friday, 19 October 2001 7:20 AM Hey may as well hop on this little bandwagon focusing on one of my favorite forms of digital ambrosia. ===== RYUJI ===== "Bouncing Ball of energetic misdirection" Stage Nerima Park, The screen pans across a set of trees, stopping at a swingset, a jungel gym and some monkey bars, in the background there are joggers and a couple having a picnic. A few children dash across the screen as some leaves cross the foreground. After the combatants go through their intro's the kids return and watch as well as the joggers. Entrance First Up:Ryuji comes down with the life guages, hanging by his tail from his and sipping from a soda, his opponent taps his/her foot for a while as he is oblivious to what's going on then notices them and falls off landing on his feet, he then bows in apology and assumes a fighting stance. Second Up: Looks to partner wondering why they left then to opponent, then he says "This whumps," looks off screen and sticks his tounge out at his partner. Second up if Tegan, Ro, Fubuki or Akane is his partner: Looks to hurt partner, shaking them and calling their name, then looks to opponent with tear in his eyes and screams his chi aura flaring. Special Entrances - Ryuji/Ro Ryuji: Ro Sempai! *pounce* Ro: *dodges to the side watching Ryuji eat floor* Uh Oh Ryuji: Ro no BAKA! Ryuji gets up then the fight begins - Ryuji/Fubuki Ryuji: Nijiro-san? *prepares to pounce Fubuki: *holds up her hand and shakes her head in a serious manner* Ryuji pauses then goes into his stance. - Ryuji/Akane Ryuji: I'll beat you this time! *bouncing on his tail* Akane: We'll see - Ryuji/Ranma Ryuji: Aww man this is gonna whump! *shys away a little* Ranma: Don't worry it can't be that bad Victory Poses/Phrases (Barely won)Feathers and Tegan come on screen with worried looks "I...won?" *smiles and passes out* (Decent Margin) *Balances on his tail* "That was easier than I thought, or you just whump" (Perfect Victory)changes to cabbit and sits on opponents chest looking at them "Okay, what happened? You felt sorry for me right? baka" (vs Fubuki or Ro) Runs over to them and pokes them with his tail a few times. "Ano? Are you dead? *pokes*" (vs Akane or Tegan) Oneesama?! *runs over ans shakes them, Tegan/Akane stir slightly and give a weak smile, Ryuji bursts into tears* Taunt *scratches head with his tail in confusion, then cocks his head and says* "What are we supposed to be doing again? - Outfits (Punch) Ryuji in a sky blue Gi similiar to Akane's with his baseball cap over his head. (Kick) Ryuji in his normal street clothes,a pair of baggy safari shorts, a loose fitting T-shirt And his ball cap, all of a light blue and black motif (Start) Ryuji is in his pajamas, which are the typical night shirt and pants with a the little tassled cap, the pajamas are blue with the Kanji for his first name etched everywere. Advantages - Excellent combo ability - Stupidly Quick. - very high damage supers. - Ryuji-no-Oni mode when low on health - Specials do decent chipping damage - Easy to tech hit out of throws Disadvantages - Dizzies very easily, turns into mini-Ryuji if dizzied - All normal special moves eat a little of his super meter. - Lag time after a super move - Does little damage outside of a combo - Takes Block damage from EVERYTHING - Normal special moves do no block damage - Takes ungodly amounts of damage from Supers - Lag time from hell during missed special and supers. Command moves - Tail Whip F+HK Ryuji spins forward, his tail being used as a whip, this has priority over some of the bigger characters normal hits and can set them up for a combo, has to be blocked high Grapples Punch: Ryuji pounces the opponent, then switches to cabbit mode, then begins to chew on them for a while in a humorous dustcloud. Kick: Ryuji wraps his legs around the opponents neck and flips them over Ryuji no Oni Grapples: Punch: Ryuji grabs the opponen and gives them a face buster ala X-Pac Kick: Same as Normal Ryuji Special moves -Chaining: Hmm lets just say if you don't know how to combo, you'll lose with Ryuji, outside of his supers he has no other way to do decent damage. - Junjou Kousen D, DF, F + P (can be done in air) A helix shaped chi beam along the lines of Cyclops' optic blast, comes out fast but regardless of the punch used is rather weak, can be angled depending on the punch button pressed. Can be used in a combo. - Mahi Junjou F, D, DF + P Another projectile attack,this one a shuriken shaped firebal. Does no damage what so ever and is impoosibly easy to block, but if it hits you there is a brief period of time where you cannot block Ryuji's next attack, good combo starter if it hits. - Tsuki Itteki B, DB, D, DF, F + K The standard Grab Special, this does some decent damage if Ryuji connects, he grabs his opponent and takes them in the air, leaving a twinkiling trail of Chi, he then drives them into the ground with an explosion of chi, this move takes hal a super bar but is worth the d\trade of in much needed damage. If it is missed he is automatically stunned from recoil. - Makaze no Shogekihaken D, DB, B, DB, D, DF, F +P Ryuji hops back and begins to punch the air similiar to Ranma's Amaguriken technique, a flurry of small fist shaped chi bals are launced at the enemy, medium start up and recovery compared tot he rest of his moves. Nice combo ender. - Oni no Ryuji (D,D +KK) This normally happens when Ryuji is the only one left and has a little under a quarter of his life left, the screen goes dark and Ryuji screams, then Ryuji reappears with a flaming chi aura and chi energy wings, his Oni horns now visible with out his falling or ducking animation.His super meter goes up a click every two seconds. His specials and damage increase, as does the damage from his combos. He also takes less damage from specials but supers still do their maximum damage. He also has access to two new supers. He now takes full damage from heavy hits when blocking. Doing this move imeadiatly invokes Oni no ryuji and drops his life to 1/4, it can be interuppted and if it is he still loses the life as well as the super bar that was used. Supers - Shin Junjou Kousen D, DF, F, D, DF, F + PP (can be done in air) Ryuji glows a faint purple momentarily as he extends his hands he then shoots forth a larger Junjou Kousen which slowly dargs his opponent into the air does upwards of 30hits to large characters and does some decent damage - Akuma no Itteki 360 + PP (Level 2) Ryuji's chi aura flares, he then pounces/lunges towards his opponent, if he grabs them a quick hard leaping knee follows, knocking the opponent into the air, he then follows them up and perfoms a flashier verison of the Nijiro Tsuki Itteki, bouncing off the opponent into the air, then finishes with a Shogekihaken. Missing this is an automatic dizzy for roughly 2 seconds, best used in a corner or after a Mahi Junjou. - Arashi no Shi (D, DF, F, DF, D + K rapidly) (Level 3 Ryuji no Oni only) Ryuji goes into the animation for a Makaze Shogekihaken, only he aims it downwards into the ground, a second later the chi fists erupt from the ground at an angle covering the screen from where Ryuji is to the oppents half. A good surprise move, it cannot be air blocked. - Ikari no Makaze Shogekihaken (D, DF, F, DF, D, DB, B, DB, D + PK (Level 4 only, Oni no Ryuji only) A KOF style autocombo move, Ryuji dashes into the opponent after a brief flare of his wings and a howling scream, if he connects he begins to give them a flashy 45+ hit autocombo that takes them from one side of the screen to roughly the middle, he ends by dashing past the opponent a thinblood red line of chi disappating behind him, which then erupts into a flurry of chi fists similair to the Shogekihaken, knocking the opponent into his grasp and into a Tsuki no Itekki. On some of the smaller faster character like Ann, Tegan and well Ryuji this can take anywhere from 50% to 65% of a full life bar.This has a severe downside, one it has a short range, and two wether it hits or misses Ryuji goes to one point of life and is stunned.
