---------- TINA Name: Tina Greystroke RL: Formerly Aaron Peori, now Blade E-mail: kumonryuu@hotmail.com AIM: Kiima ----- RANK & TRAITS Rank: 7 --- Attributes Psionic+ Weak --- Skills Psychokinetics+ Psionics- Fighting- Teamwork ----- ATTITUDE Style: Psychokinesis - Tina uses her ability to manipulate and move matter with her thoughts, mainly. Otherwise, she practices basic swordsmanship and while decent, is nowhere near the standards of most Nerimans (treat as Rank 4). --- Methods: Tina is a little obsessive about her Psychosword!, which she uses as often as she can...usually to little effect. Once she gets serious, she floats out of range, laughs megalomaniacally and proceeds to pummel her opponent into a bloody pulp with whatever catches her eye (rocks, cars, friends, their own limbs, etc). ----- SPECIALS Advantages: Standard Martial Arts Abilities. Tina has the psionic ability to move matter with her mind. The only limits to this ability is that she can't lift more than eight objects at once, but she ahs no mass limit that she has seen. She can psionically "grip" anything she can see, and has a good chance of gripping something she can't if she knows its exact location. Once held, an object (including herself and other people) can be floated, thrown, moved or crushed as she wishes. To a lesser extent, she has the ability to raise or lower the temperature of objects, grab onto air molecules in large numbers (so that she can hold about fifty cubic feet of air), and redirect the flow of electricity or light waves. These all require a great deal of focus and tire her very quickly. She also has limited telepathy and clairsentience, meaning she can read a person mind if they aren't deliberatly shielding it (any number of ways) and can sense disturbances in psionic fields. Her Psychosword! is a technological device designed to channel her power and form it into a blade of pure kinetic energy. This blade is amazingly powerful and can shatter triple reinforced three foot thick diamond titanium armor with ease.... if she ever hits anything with it. --- Disadvantages: Tina's telekinisis requires that she be able to sense the psionic "pattern" of her target. If she is unable to do so, due to either shielding of the pattern on the part of the target or psionic interference in the area, she can not use her abilities. This does not stop her from hitting you with rock, air or pure kinetic blasts, however. She can ALWAYS psionically move her own body. Her use of the Psychosword! often leaves her open to attack, and she isn't very good at taking hits. --- Techniques Tina never calls out attack names. Psionic Forcefield - Tina psionically reinforces her body so as to be able to take more punishment. This gives her an endurance comparable with the average Rank 6 martial artist. She nearly always does this when mixing it up with her Psychosword! Brute Force - Tina can latch onto something (anything in the area that isn't shielded) and smash it into her opponent. She can also grab the target and smash it into other objects if that suits her fancy (or if the person annoyingly dodges all her boulders). Crush - Tina can grab and crush an opponent with pure kinetic force. This power starts off weak, but grows much more powerful the longer she exerts pressure. Kinetite - this power creates a ball of pure kenetic force which she launches at her opponent like a basketball. The blast moves at supersonic speeds and hits with the force of a meteor strike. However, she can not do this and use other psi powers at the same time. Flight - Tina can lift and move herself about. Because of her degree of fine control, she can often float around fast enough to dodge most attacks. ----------------- Note: If one or more of the mercs (Tina, Gregor, Midgar) are fighting together, they will fight as a TEAM, using effective and efficient team tactics to deal with single or multiple opponents. Only very rarely will they engage in one-on-one duels, and then usually only if Caine wants them to for some reason. Their tactics often involve switching opponents frequently, double teaming enemies, aiding flagging teammates and generally compensating for any weaknesses in their allies' techniques. More than once in GRIT this has allowed them to take on a group of Nerimans that considerably outmatch them in sheer power. Some examples: Tina often holds or hinders opponents while Gregor sets up for a big shot. Caine often uses a Feet of Hermes or a Fist of Titans spell on Gregor or Tina when they get in close, so the effect is maximised. Midgar or Caine shield and protect Tina whenever she uses her Psychosword! to prevent opponents from taking advantage of her openings. Generally the group is always working for the overall benefit of the team itself, not for the personal glory of a single member. The only one who sometimes balks at this is Gregor, but he goes along without complaint most of the time. ----------
