TAROU Contact info: Blade, kumonryuu@hotmail.com Full Name: Tom Tarou "Place" in GRIT: Grumpy Martial Arts Guru Residence: Ginseng's apartment Height: 170.cm (over two stories tall in cursed form) Weight: 73kg (well over ten tons in cursed form) Eyes: Ice grey (glowing red sensors in cursed form) Hair: Glossy bluish-black, cut short save for two curled tendrils of hair at the sides Birthday: November 20 Blood Type: O Curse: Was baptised at birth in the Spring-of-Drowned-Yeti-Riding-Bull- Carrying-Crane-And-Eel. Much later, returned to Jyusenkyou and splashed himself with Spring-of-Drowned-Octopus. Later still, was (unwillingly) immersed in Spring-of-Drowned-Cybernetic-Mecha-With-Optional-Flight- Capabilities. The end result is an enormous, vaguely minotaur-like metal monstrosity that dwarfs the average residential home, bristling with weaponry and a bevy of writhing tentacles. Other: Akane Tendo's cousin, tho he is fairly close-lipped about this. Has three long scars along his chest, though they can't normally be seen due to his clothing. Fairly effeminate-looking. Clothing: Almost always wears a Chinese martial arts outfit consisting of baggy white pants, black slippers, and a vest and bracers made from the scaled hide of an unknown animal; as well, he has small loop earrings. Also wears a sash made out of pantyhose, out of old habit. Personality: At birth, he was baptised in a Jyusenkyou spring and then given the humiliating name "Pantyhose Tarou" by Happousai, which ended up enormously influencing his life in the long run. His name, monstrous curse and feminine looks ensured he grew up with no friends, an extremely belligerant, antisocial attitude and an overriding belief that the only way he could ever find any happiness was to find whoever named him and get it changed; when he -did- get his name changed and people found his new moniker "Tom" almost as amusing, it only served to enrage him more. He and Ranma loathed each other on sight, and this eventually become a bloody vendetta on Tarou's part which nearly led to both of their deaths. Then things changed. Failing to achieve his vengeance on Ranma, Tarou was forced to confront the futility and ultimate emptiness of his life, and this led him to reunite with his estranged mother (not to mention meet his little sister Lo Shin for the first time...and be promptly tricked into taking responsibility for her) and start doing some real thinking about the direction he wanted to head in. It wasn't easy, and his impatience with and arrogant contempt for many of the other Nerimans led to his betrayal of them and once again to his near-demise, but in the end he returned to them, fought on their side against Apollo, and even apologised for his actions. Tom Tarou is still gruff, still very prone to pointing out the faults of others, still touchy about his name, and still refers to nearly everyone else by derogatory nicknames. But he's also usually willing to listen to reason, to show consideration and help others through their problems, and to (once in a while) even be nice. He takes his martial arts extremely seriously, and spends the majority of the free time honing his abilities in a constant quest to be the best. He has developed a great deal of affection for his sister, and always has an eye out for her welfare, even though he isn't always sure what exactly what to do towards that end. Identifying quote: " That's exactly what we're going to do, (insert-derogatory-nickname-here). You have a problem with that?"
