---------- STARK Name: Jared Stark RL: Dan Mastriani E-mail: PowerOfQi@aol.com ----- RANK & TRAITS Rank: 7 --- Attributes Strong+ Tough Inaccurate --- Skills pro-wrestling swordsmanship+ martial arts- knife throwing melee combat ----- ATTITUDE Style: "Big Man" style pro-wrestling - characterized by reckless power moves, simple holds, bum rushes, and slams. When using a weapon, his style is very much like a medieval knight, as it's intended to go through an opponents defense rather than around it. This is more effective than it sounds. With a sword, however, Jared actually shows some finesse. He's an excellent swordsman, though he's unlikely to use his blade if his opponent doesn't also have one. --- Methods: He starts off by going right for an opponent and pummeling him/her into submission. If that fails, he may use weapons or specials to create an opening, then pummel an opponent into submission. In the rare event of him being very much in control, he's may show off by using fancy variations of basic wrestling moves (Thunder-Fire Powerbomb, Splash Mountain/Outsiders Edge, Tombstone Piledriver, or some other neat slam you saw on TV last week). These don't tend to do more damage, but they look cooler. His sword fighting technique is where he really shines, as a sword fight may be the only type of battle he's really confident in. Instead of straight blocking, he often redirects opponents' sword attacks, in the hope of opening holes in their defense which, in this type of fight, he can actually take advantage of. ----- SPECIALS Advantages: Gas and fire have no effect on him. He can breath water as well as air and therefore remain underwater indefinitely without penalty. Ring of Regeneration - heals any wound, even a fatal one, at a rate faster than even most MADMs. Standard martial arts abilities Dragon senses - nearly impossible to sneak up on because his hearing, smell and eyesight far outstrip a normal human, rivaling or even surpassing the acuity of most predatory animals; invisibility and illusion can be visually perceived at close range (in other words, common invisibility and illusion techniques might as well not be employed if he's within a few yards) Coat o'stuff - weapons, plot devices, and so much more! Virtually unlimited supply of firebombs Dragon Scale - a magical suit of chain mail created from one of Bahamut's scales, mundane attacks tend to bounce off, and it is impossible to damage, though significant blows will still be felt by the user Sun Sword - magical blade which is imbued with the power to create sunlight in a 30 yard radius around it. Due to its neutral good nature, it is difficult to wield for evil characters and is more effective against an evil or light sensitive target. He is ridiculously strong and can perform feats of strength only matched by fighters of superior rank. Quite possibly the toughest fighter short of Ryoga (and of course Akemi and Lime), Jared can face off with fighters he's not good enough to beat longer than many other fighters of his rank. He's been hurt so badly in the past, injuries up to and including broken bones don't seem to hurt so much nowadays. He can draw upon the Fire of the Dragon possessed by an opponent to make himself stronger, faster, and more skilled. If the opponent is a dragon, or has some other way managed to have pure Fire Ki, Stark can meet or exceed their power level. The more diluted it is, however, the less chance he has of equaling his opponent. --- Disadvantages: Temper - he gets more reckless and less technical, and he's real easy to get mad His fighting style was conceived more as a performance, so while it can be quite devastating in actual combat, it leaves a lot of openings when the other guy isn't cooperating. Even when angry, he rarely if ever uses weaponry against an unarmed opponent, despite the fact the he's a much better fighter when armed. He has below average to middling speed, which allows other fighters of his rank to run circles around him. --- Techniques Diver Punch: Really stupid move. Jumps high into the air and comes down with tremendous force. Stupid because most opponents are neither dumb nor slow enough to not get out of the way. Dragon Morph: Physically becomes a (AD&D) Gold Dragon of the same age with all powers and abilities associated (i.e. flight, fire breath, chlorine gas breath, polymorph self 3 times/day+ stuff already listed). Difficult and rarely used. You may never see it, but I thought you should know it exists. Flame Mirage: Uses his almost endless supply of exploding bottles to create a massive ball of flame. While people are distracted by it, he runs out and hits them. The fireball itself is not used offensively. Flame Charge: Throws a group of exploding bottles which land one in front of the other, creating a steadily advancing wall of flame. Flame Charge Mirage: Same as above move, but he charges through the wall to attack just before it ends. Dragon Bomb: Stark's own variation of a standard powerbomb. Stark grabs his opponent in a belly to belly waistlock, then throws them into the air. When their waist is about as high as his head, he threads his arms between their legs and around their waist, slamming them on their back in the normal powerbomb position. ----------
