RANMA Nama: Ranma Saotome RL: Ranma NPC generally played by Epsilon or Blade E-mail: Epsilon , Blade ----- Rank: 8 --- Attributes Fast, Agile, Creative+ --- Skills Martial Arts, Chi Manipulation ----- ATTITUDE Style: Ranma`s style seems to be a blend of Hapkido, Juijitsu, Aikido and various styles of Kung Fu. His style is an aerial and movement related one that requires some space and leeway to work at it`s peak. The Kuntatsu-ryu is a chi manipulation style that Ranma recently learned which allows him to channel raw chi right out of the earth itself. It is primarily a defensive style. --- Methods: Ranma tends to start off with normal martial arts moves and tactics, only upping the ante to his advanced chi abilities when the battle starts getting hairy or annoying. He relies a lot on kicks and other highly motion based attacks. He`ll always try to take the inititive and keep it in a fight. ----- SPECIALS Standard martial arts abilities. Ranma has an advanced healing factor, he recovers from injury at an amazing rate. He can recover from normally crippling injury in a matter of minutes. Ranma has perfected the three defensive moves of the Kontatsu-ryu. Whenever he is not actually attacker someone he can roll with and take no damage from any normal physical blow, disperse incoming chi attacks so he takes far less damaage and instantly recover any chi drained out of his body. Ranma can access the true secret of the Kontatsu-ryu and actually "meld" his mind with the flow of chi through the earth around him, giving him an effectivelly unlimited energy source to draw upon. Ranma is a martial arts savant, able to master a new style or technqiue in a matter of days (as opposed to months or years) and has shown the ability to improvise useful variants of old moves virtually on demand. --- Disadvantages Ranma turns into a girl when splashed with cold water. This makes him slightly faster but slightly weaker and more fragile. Extendied use of his advanced Kuntatsu moves is dangerous, as is using too much energy at once. The more energy Ranma uses, the less connected his conciousness is to his body. If he went too far Ranma would essentially lose access to his body and becoming a free floating spirit of pure chi that would shortly thereafter be drawn into the earth and lost forever. Ranma is still vulnerable to taunts and verbal jabs, especially those that insult his family or courage. He`s a little too pig-headed for his own good, often not seeing an easier solution when it is obvious and only changing tactics when forced to. --- Techniques Kachuu Tenshi Amaguriken (Roasting Imperial Chestnut Fist) A speed technqiue, Ranma uses it in combat to deliver a flurry of punches so fast the normal human eye can`t even follow them. This is used mainly to compensate if his opponent is too tough to injure normally. Kachuu Bisha Takaken (Imperial Doominating Tiger Fist) Ranma performs his old blitz fist but holds balls of confidence chi in each hand, upping the dmage dramatically. Hiryu Shoten Ha (Flying Dragon Ascend to Heaven Blast) A powerful move if used correctly. The user must retain their cool at all times, letting out no agressive energy while drawing an enrgaed enemy into a spiral pattern. At the apex of the spiral the user throws an uppercut which forces the spiraling ki into a frnezy, a whirlwind of desturction that can easily beat many powerful enemies. The power and duration of this technique are based on how anrgy the opponent is and how much of a spiral the opponent has been lead into. Kunryu Shochi Arashi (Blue Dragon Ascending Earth Storm) A variant of the hiryushotenha combined with his kontatsu manuverus. Ranma draws the hot chi directly from the core of the earth and swirls it up around his cool self. It does not require a spiral or the target to be anrgy to work, as it draws upon the natural cycle of energy within the earth itself. This move is VERY powerful and hits a large area, but because of the way it works it is almost sure to kill Ranma unless he stops using the Kontatsu shortly thereafter. Mokotakabisha (Fierce Tiger Dommineering) Ranma focuses his confindence and ego through his chi and forms a large sphere of energy that he can thrust into opponents. The sphere has a limited range and covers and area about the size of the user. The amount of damage from the blast varies dramtically with how confident the user is. Aite (Love`s Hand) Ranma focuses his feelings of compassion and love through his chi and forms a pillar of pink energy he can send at opponents along the ground. This makes he move a ranged attack but of limited use as the users must be able to conjure up feelings of compassion and love for it to work. Damage varies upon the intensity of the emotions. Kuntatsukai (True Blue Dragon) Ranma must concentrate and focus to attune his will with the will of the earth. Once he does he creates a large swirling aura of blue energy around himself. This energy can be extending into tendrils or blasts for attack, can be hardened as shields or absorb incoming chi NOT under the direct control of somebody else. The words Kaenryuusei Bu (Flaming Comet Dance) are often used when the move is used offensively. The size, shape and intensity of the aura can be cahnged at will but Ranma does have certain weaknesses in how much he can maintain control over.
