Hair: Black, silky and long, pulled into a rather stereotypical high
 ponytail.

Other: Makoto wears an eyepatch over his right eye, which is made from
 the crosspiece of a katana, and blatantly stolen from Inu-Yasha.
 This isn't actually because the eye is missing, though he does have
 a convenient scar there - it's actually because of his Musk heritage.
 While Makoto's left eye is normal, his right eye is able to perceive
 things at far greater speeds, and to a degree, see visual
 representations of chi and auras and such. Looking with both eyes at
 once tends to screw up the samurai's vision, so - in keeping with his
 training philosophy - he keeps the superior eye covered and uses
 only the weaker one.
He speaks in very archaic language, similar to Mist and Kuno. He only
 uses "thou" and "hads't" when he's really trying to impress somebody,
 though.
That, and he also has a nasty scar running vertically down over his
 left collarbone. Exactly how far down is unknown, since it disappears
 under his clothing.

Clothing: Very stock-standard Samurai garb - hakama, gi, sandals,
 chest wrappings et all. He also wears vaguely glove-like things over
 his hands.

Props: One katana, which most of his techniques rely on. He's also
 currently carrying Shiokaze, the Sword of the Winds, but refuses to
 use it, as he believes he isn't its true bearer.

Personality: Makoto is something of a walking cliché, lifted straight
 out of an old samurai movie. He is honourable and courteous, tends to
 hide his emotions, poses very well and seems to be followed by a
 slight, dramatic breeze which carries the music of wind instruments
 and blows leaves past at appropriate times. Although he feels no
 need to share his goals with others, he seems intent on finding "The
 Bearer" of Shiokaze; he also seems to think he must be married to
 this individual, claiming that it has been preordained by the Gods
 and whatnot.
On a side note, Makoto seems to have problems with gender. He didn't
 shirk from the idea that another man was his finacee, and also
mistook
 Amy for a boy when they first met. God help him if he meets
Konatsu...
