KON TATSU Name: Kon Tatsu RL: Talen E-mail: talen_@optusnet.com.au ----- RANK & TRAITS Rank: 4 --- Attributes Flexible Unpredictable --- Skills: Generic and flawed Martial Arts The Waters Water Magic Jusenkyou Magic ----- ATTITUDE Style: Kon uses a general 'style' of martial arts based around what he has learned through observation, and generally has more real flaws than Dan Hibiki could manage. --- Methods: Kon Tatsu will try to exploit an opponent's curse or known weaknesses if they relate to water, followed by an outright assault of more or less pure force. He's not known for his subtlety. ^^;;; ----- SPECIALS Advantages: Standard Nerima Martial Arts skills High Ki Levels Kon Tatsu can fly with his ki and use it with the waters for some interesting effects. Jusenkyou Magic Having learned from Kail, Kon Tatsu can trigger, neutralise (temporarily), occasionally undo (simple), and reverse, Jusenkyou Curses. The Waters Kon Tatsu has an advantage against people with Jusenkyou curses (though not enough to make it notable in his rank). This is against the *people*; he's not yet skilled enough to use his capacity with the Waters to draw power from his opponent's cursed form. Water Combat Kon Tatsu has a considerable advantage if in a water arena. He can also convert bits of himself into semi-solid water without much conscious thought (a favoured trick being turning his hands into long katana blades). This power is limited to simple constructs (no moving parts) and cannot be used to, for example, expand his body into anything but mist. Drowned Yeti-riding-bull-while-holding-crane-and-eel curse mixed with Drowned Serpent curse. Kon Tatsu corrupted the Niuhoomanmaorenniichuan by adding Spring Of Drowned Serpent water to it. His own form of the minotaur has thick, armoured scales and a much longer tail. He's exploited his cursed form surprisingly well, considering the short amount of time he's had it in, pushing it to its capacity. The mythical nature of his serpent part seems to affect him at times - despite being much smaller than Tarou's cursed form, his form is significantly heavier. Extraordinary Sensory Perception Kon Tatsu can deduce a vast amount of information about pretty much anyone, becoming more and more specific the closer and more powerful they are in relation to him. His powers are not limited to cursed people, although he garners the most possible information from them. --- Disadvantages: Unwillingness to use his curse Despite his phenomenally stronger cursed form, he's unwilling to use it. He expends most of his magic keeping himself from transforming, and as such is reduced in his combat capacity unless he's in a situation where he cannot _possibly_ change, and as such, can cut loose. Flight While he can fly admirably, and for extended periods, as a human, his cursed form has very weak flight capacity, and it really only *does* fly thanks to ki usage. It can glide for an extended period of time, but he can't really attain the altitude for a long-distance flight. It's also considerably smaller than Tarou's and Blade's, only nine feet tall to Tarou's thirty-or-so. As mentioned, it's heavier (and a lot slower). Balance Kon Tatsu's cursed form and himself are not too well balanced; taking his legs out in a fight with a leg sweep is a sure way to disrupt his attack or concentration, as he has a hard time getting back onto his feet (literally and figuratively). The Fire Kon Tatsu has a large reserve of The Waters, but he doesn't have much control; Kon tatsu can focus on one thing with the Waters at a time; therefore, a fight with someone imbued with The Fire would come down to brute force. Also, a truly powerful Fireborne (such as Shi) could neutralise his neutralising of his curse. Limits on his Sensory Perception The clones really bugger him up. Incense _messes_ with his mind (vastly more powerful than he is). Saffron's destruction of Jusendo has recently distributed large 'clouds' of Waters all over the world, which further messes with him. Musk Warriors count as cursed people, but trying to get too detailed with the smarter ones (such as Mint or Herb) is like trying to punch fog, and doesn't just count out his advantage, it counts as a disadvantage. --- Techniques : Yasha Mizumi Bashira (Demon Sea Serpent Pillar) Kon Tatsu funnels his body into an amalgamate of The Waters, his own ki, and atmospheric water, and water produced by converting his arms. His arms flow together, twist into the form of a huge sea serpent and drive out from his body. It extends his reach and does quite a lot of crushing damage as a battering ram. Think Happousai's ki trick.
