---------- GREGOR Name: Gregor Iyanavich RL: Formerly Aaron Peori, now Blade E-mail: kumonryuu@hotmail.com AIM: Kiima ----- RANK & TRAITS Rank: 6 --- Attributes Strong --- Skills Martial Arts Gravity Powers Teamwork ----- ATTITUDE Style: Gregor practices a style of martial arts based on using chi to affect the pull of gravity on objects. In hand to hand he fights competently for his rank with a style based on punches and grappling. --- Methods: Gregor prefers to dart in with a gravity attack, and then dart back out to launch a ranged gravity attack. He will engage in hand to hand if necessary, but prefers to use his more devastating manouvres. ----- SPECIALS Advantages: Standard Martial Arts Abilities. He can jump about fifty times higher than the average Neriman if he really wants to, and even float or fly by redirecting the flow of gravity. He tends to enhance his normal moves by using gravity to "pull" his strikes unerringly into his opponent. His style allows him to increase, decrease or reverse the flow of gravity in objects or people. --- Disadvantages: Gregor enjoys fighting, but he enjoys winning more. He tends to get more violent (and less disciplined) when humiliated. He likes winning so much that he often holds back to prolong both his enjoyment and his opponent's pain. He's certifiably sadistic. His gravity powers are slow compared to other people's blasts and can be easily dodged. --- Techniques Dion Spike - this locks onto a person and increases the pull of gravity between them and the planet to very unhealthy levels. The attack appears directly at the target area with no visible signs of transit, but he takes a few moments to set up the blast, and if the opponent moves he has to re-aim. The effect is visible as a crater that appears in the ground at the target location. Burst Knuckle - Gregor closes in and punches, focusing a Dion Spike right in front of his fist. Because he is focusing it near himself the move does not take time to set up and instantly takes effect. If he hits, the person will likely be crushed into unconciousness. Yamimari (Darkness Ball) - Gregor creates a ball of hyper gravity which pulls in light, sound and other energies. It then rolls towards a target. It is extremely slow, but since it is basically a miniature black hole, very few things will walk away from being hit with it. Akutenshi-dan (Demon Angel Bullets) - Gregor locks onto an object or objects near his opponent and reverses the flow of gravity between its components, causing it/them to explode and send flying shrapnel in all directions. He likes to lock onto many objects all around his target so the victim is caught in the middle of several blastss. This takes about a second to set off, but the area effect nature of the attack makes it less risky for him than that would suggest. Crack Shot - Gregor must make physical contact to use this ability. Once he does, he causes an dramatic localized rise in gravity in the part of the person's body he hit. The result is that any bones near his impact point shatter, and organs are bruised. ----------------- Note: If one or more of the mercs (Tina, Gregor, Midgar) are fighting together, they will fight as a TEAM, using effective and efficient team tactics to deal with single or multiple opponents. Only very rarely will they engage in one-on-one duels, and then usually only if Caine wants them to for some reason. Their tactics often involve switching opponents frequently, double teaming enemies, aiding flagging teammates and generally compensating for any weaknesses in their allies' techniques. More than once in GRIT this has allowed them to take on a group of Nerimans that considerably outmatch them in sheer power. Some examples: Tina often holds or hinders opponents while Gregor sets up for a big shot. Caine often uses a Feet of Hermes or a Fist of Titans spell on Gregor or Tina when they get in close, so the effect is maximised. Midgar or Caine shield and protect Tina whenever she uses her Psychosword! to prevent opponents from taking advantage of her openings. Generally the group is always working for the overall benefit of the team itself, not for the personal glory of a single member. The only one who sometimes balks at this is Gregor, but he goes along without complaint most of the time. ----------
