GAELD Name: Gaeldwyrth(et thai Sekhet), Dr. Drake StGeorge RL: Alejandro Melchor E-mail: netlupus@hotmail.com, (AIM: Al Melchor) ----- RANK & TRAITS Rank: 8 --- Attributes Cunning+, Versatile+, Adaptive, Knowledgeable+, Intelligent+, Manipulative, Honor-bound, Overconfident. --- Skills Magic+, Swordsmanship, Marksmanship, Martial Arts-, Manipulation. ----- ATTITUDE Style: Hand-to-hand: A mixture of soft styles focused on dodging. Fencing: A flowing everchanging style that adapts to the opponent's stategy. Magic: Shadow, Elemental, Summoning & Binding, Alchemy, Divination, Illusionism, Necromancy, Dragon, Astral, Rune. Name, Enchantment/Curse. --- Methods: Sneaky and dirty; prefers not to engage in physical contests unless he's bored; prefers to curse/blast his enemies at a distance, or beguiling and mindscrewing them. He can summon enslaved or indentured creatures to fight for him. ----- SPECIALS Advantages: Locked Shape: The magical pattern of his body is fixed and stuck; this means that he can’t be affected by shapechanging magic. Also, his pattern will tend to return to its original weave, which helps heals damage a little faster than usual, though he still needs medical attention. Immortal: He doesn't age physically, and he's been around for so long that few powers, techniques and strategies surprise him anymore. Entrancement: With his snake-eyes, Gaeld can entrance, hypnotize and mindscrew those who meet his gaze. Invisible Army: He's bound a horde of vermin, larger animals and spirits to his service; they provide him with information from all corners of the world and he can summon them to fight for him at any time. --- Disadvatages: Locked shape: No shapechanging magic works on his body, and so he can't use the natural shapechanging skills of dragonkind, and can't return to his normal dragon form. Humanity: The millenia spent in a human body are beginning to take their toll on his psyche, and he's been acting more and more humane with each passing century; as such, he has occasional fits of pity and whimsy. Honor and Pride: He clings to the only thing draconic left to him: his honor and pride. He will never breack a vow and oaths are sacred to him; he may hide truth behind convoluted logic, but he hardly lies. He has also an overbearing pride on his experience and position which can be taken advantage of. Beware, however; he doesn't take insults kindly. --- Techniques Too numerous to count. Several fast-cast spells. No ki-blasts and no firebreathing. For attack he prefers playig his opponents against each other with illusions and mind-altering spells; relies on elemental magic for offense (not only fire), knows a lot of summoning spells. His spells tend to have some bit of mythology to their wording. Samples: Defense: Aegis Tenebrae Creates a shield made of solid darkness and void; all attacks get sucked into the shield-shaped rift (it’s not a good idea to tackle this barrier with your fists) Eidolon Creates a perfect double of himself, able to fool all normal five senses; it acts independently until hit. Speculum Reflects energy attacks to the attacker. Offense: Sword of Deimos The victim is hit with a wave of pure irrational terror. Elemental Rain The five elements (add wood) take a turn at attacking the victim from nearby sources; if no elemental material exists, the elementals materialize in a weaker version. Others: Ariadna’s Thread Scrambles the dimensional byways and renders any dimensional travel (i.e. teleportation and Hammerspace) random and dangerous. Summon Can summon any being he has bound previously. He’s been at it for millenia. Penumbral Passage He jumps in and out of shadows with almost limitless range.
