AKEMI Name: Akemi Meskiro RL: Blade E-mail: kumonryuu@hotmail.com AIM: Kiima ----- RANK & TRAITS Rank: 7 --- Attributes Strong+ Tough+ Stupid+ --- Skills Martial Arts- ----- ATTITUDE Style: Akemi has no real style; she's a brawler through and through. But she's a GOOD brawler. And she has a sword. A BIG sword. --- Methods: "SMITE!" Akemi is all offence, and...well, that's just about it. She will leap gleefully into any combat screaming her trademark phrase and swinging her Big Ass Sword with reckless abandon. On the occasions that this doesn't immediately mow down the evildoer, she will also use kicks, punches and large portions of the landscape as weapons to subdue her foe. If the opponent happens to hurt her somehow, she will not change her tactics except to get much angrier and attack even more forcefully. She wouldn't know HOW to block an attack even if she wanted to; defence is a non-issue. ----- SPECIALS Advantages: Standard Martial Arts Abilities. Akemi has superhuman invulnerability. She could have a bath in an active volcano, take an asteroid strike directly on the head, and survive ground zero of a nuclear strike. As a general rule, if it can't level a city, it won't knock her unconscious. Akemi also has superhuman strength. In the previous example, not only could she catch the asteroid, she could probably hurl it straight back into orbit. Using skyscrapers as clubs or projectile weapons is nothing to her. There are very, very few GRIT characters who could take a punch from Akemi and walk away. --- Disadvantages: Akemi is not exactly one of GRIT's deeper thinkers. She's easily angered, easily distracted and easily outsmarted by even fairly stupid people. Her martial arts skill is virtually nil. Even though she is fast and her attacks cause large amounts of collateral damage, nearly any fighter of Rank 5 or above could fairly easily avoid being struck by her. For awhile. Unfortunately, unless something else grabs her attention, she can keep attacking for days... Her invulnerability is simple ungodly toughness. Attacks that can bypass that defence will hurt her; pressure point strikes are a good example. --- Techniques Bakusai Ten Ketsu (Blasting Point Hole) A technique whereby the user strikes an inanimate object and disrupts it's chi, causing it to explode. It doesn't work on living things, however. Final Bakusai Ten Ketsu Akemi's command of the technique is such that she could conceivably cause an entire continental plate to shatter. Thankfully, she is too scatterbrained to think of this, and thus Armageddon has been averted. It is not unheard of, however, for Akemi to shatter the ground in areas as large as a city block. Thousand Smites Not a technique per se, but when Akemi gets mad at an opponent who's been successfully avoiding a smiting, she often uses an attack whereupon she swings her massive sword in arcs as fast as she can, screaming "Smite!" with each swing. This can be considered an Amaguriken-level speed attack and is thus difficult to dodge, although the damage level of each swing is (comparatively) low. Shock Wave With a single mighty swing of her Big Ass Sword, Akemi can create a shockwave that will hurl nearly any opponent off their feet, shatter walls, and so forth. Again, a relatively low damage technique, but useful for getting at those hard-to-smite foes.
