Almost every single GRITter past and present are seated, filling the hall to almost overflowing with humourous SD figures. On the board at the front is 'History of the world HUT599 - The Fire and its place in history'. Through the door come ALL the Fire related people that have ever been in GRIT, including the dragon. An SD dragon cuts a quite amusing figure. Steve: (Putting on Coke bottle glasses and entering SD boggle eyed professor mode) Now class, pay attention, for this is long and complicated. The Fire starts 2000 years ago and - Time passes. The board is now filled with arcane symbols, Steve is more boggle eyed than usual, the clock shows the time is four hours later and several figures, including the dragon, are asleep. Steve: ...and that's it. Any questions? Ryuji: (Waving his hand in the air) Steve: Furry young thing in the back row, you have a question? Ryuji: Is all this actually important? Steve: Of course it is! Life generates it! It permeates everything! It is what holds the universe together! A detailed understanding of this force is vital to future generations! Yohann: Give me a good old blaster anyday. Suddenly the doors burst open! In charge people dressed in weird robes, and the leader takes the podium and taps upon the mike, causing the sound system to screech and rattle everybody to the very bones! (Except for Su Yee of course, who merely trembles.) Weirdly dressed leader: The Acolyte of Fire has finally been decided! Now I know what you're thinking. Is it Steve? Ann? That dragon over there? Any of the Mysterious Figures? Someone else? Officer Barbrady? Jacen: (Leaping to his feet) Finally! I shall know who my related Acolyte is! Weirdly dressed leader: ...I can't say now. But come back tomorrow and find out! Jacen: No! NOOOO! (GRIT Ending Theme cuts in) ---------- #5 - An Alternate Homecoming Morning outside Ucchan's. With all the sounds of a giant cybernetic monstrosity landing, Blade touches down upon the sidewalk. His passengers disembark, steam envelops him, and when it dissipates it leaves him in normal black clad human form. Akemi: (Bursting forth from Ucchan's and glomps onto him) Blade-san! I was worried sick! Pleasantries are exchanged and Akemi is persuaded to let go of Blade, thus preventing him from a nasty suffocating death. Ukyou: So, Akemi, how's the restaurant? Akemi: It's great Ukyou-san! ^_^ Ukyou: (Opens the door and stops in her tracks) O_O Blade: (Seeing the inside over Ukyou's shoulder) Akemi, how many people did you smite while we away? Akemi: Only the really bad people! Blade: And how many of them were there? Akemi: (Counts on her fingers, her face puckered up in cute concentration) There was the guy who shortchanged me two yen. There was the guy who demanded his money back. There were the girls who thought their Okonomiyaki weren't cute enough. There was... (trails off in silence and when she runs out of fingers takes off her shoes and counts on her toes) ...there were thirty really bad people! Not that many recently though, so that's good! Ukyou: (Hand over her face) Oh lord... Why did I leave the place in her charge... -- Steven Scougall http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Flats/7196 -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own
