[GRIT] [REPOST] The GRIT Drinking Game

Yes, this is your standard drinking game, adapted to GRIT.

So sit down in front of your monitor, or with hardcopies
of rec.arts.anime.misc transcripts, along with your friends
and a large quantity of your favorite beverage, preferably
alcoholic.

THREADS:

For every 10 posts in a thread, take 1 drink

If the thread contains flame posts, take 2 drinks for each flame

If the thread is concluded satisfactorily, congratulate the writers
and take 3 drinks

If the subject header still remains even after the thread has been
concluded, take 2 drinks
...add 2 drinks for every succeeding month that the subject header
is still around

For every creative snipping of posts, take 1 drink

POSTS:

POST NATURE

If the post is about a Drinking Game, go out and buy some drinks
from the store before you continue reading  ^_^

If the post is entirely done in script format, take 1 drink
... add 1 drink if there are prose sections in the post

If the post is entirely done in prose format, drink the bottle

If the post is a rant, roll your eyes upwards and take 2 drinks
...add 1 drink if the rant is about saving bandwidth
...add 2 drinks if the rant about saving bandwidth takes up more
bandwidth than what was snipped

If the post is a poll, take 3 drinks

If the post is a [META], take 2 drinks

If the post is an [ADMIN], take 3 drinks

If the post is a [TS], take 2 drinks while cheer the writer on

If the post is an [OMAKE], prepare for deep hurting and take 4 drinks
or until you start getting numb

If the post is an [POINTLESS], drink like there's no tomorrow, or until
you are finished with the post

If the post is from some newbie, help them out (don't scare them off!)
and hand them a drink

If the post announces a GRITter leaving, have a bottle in their memory

If the post manages to flow like a river, congratulate the writer while
ducking from RL-Jason and take 3 drinks

If the post retcons an earlier posting, take 1 drink
...add 1 drink if the post retcons a retcon of an earlier posting
...add 1 drink if the post retcons a retcon of a retcon of an earlier
posting
...add 1 drink if the post retcons a retcon of a retcon of a retcon of
an earlier posting
...add 1 drink if the post retcons a retcon of a retcon of a retcon of

If there are WAFF (Warm and Fuzzy Feeling) elements, gargle your
2 drinks to get that saccharine taste out of your mouth

If the post was too surreal or just didn't make any sense, read the
next post instead (no drinks for you, bud!)

If there are lemony segments (which may vary from suggestive innuendo
to outright smut) in the post, take 2 drinks and forward the post to
damienroc  (hey, he was planning on an "H" GRIT Page!  H_H)
...add 2 drinks if you actually like it (and forward me a copy of the
post -- maramala H_H)

If the post has nothing to do with GRIT, raise an eyebrow, then
continue (no drinks either, pal!)

If the post feels sad/angsty/depressing, take as many drinks as you
can to help lessen the pain

If there are absolutely NO puns in the post, ponder what the writer was
listening/smoking/drinking/doing and swear off drinking... for the day

POST CONTENTS

Take 1 drink if any of the following Ranma characters are present
(cumulative):
Ranma, Akane, Ukyou, Ukkyo (counted separately), Tarou, Konatsu,
Natsume, Kurumi, Tsubasa, or Nabiki

Take 2 drinks if any of the following Ranma characters are around
(cumulative):
Genma, Nodoka, Soun, Ryuu Kumon, Kasumi, Dr. Tofuu, Shampoo (counted
once), Tatewaki Kuno, Kodachi, Mousse, Gosunkugi, Cologne, Happousai,
Mariko, Hinako, Hiroshi, Daisuke, Yuka, Sayuri, Mikado, Azusa,
Picollete, Pink and Link (or Linlin and Ranran) (counted once), any
member of the Musk Dynasty, any member of the Phoenix Tribe, Akari,
or Ryouga

Take 3 drinks if any of the following Ranma characters actually
show up (cumulative):
Asuka the White Lily, Principal Kuno, Arisa Nanjou (I think that's
the name of the kid esper/poster child of Self-Insertion Avatars that
shows up in an actual episode of the anime -- maramala), the Gambling
King, Kaori Daikoku (aka. The Fiancee that got away), Anna, Yohyou
Tsyurasennen, that guy cursed in the Spring of Drowned Frog, Plum,
the Jusenkyo Guide, Mister Trip, Rouge, or Lukkosai.

If any Pokemon are present, take 1 drink
...add 2 drinks if any Pokemon is an evolved version
...add 1 drink if any Pokemon is given the main spotlight
...add another 2 drinks to the above if the said Pokemon is not Pikachu
...finish the bottle if Mewtwo shows up

If any EVA characters show up, take 2 drinks
...and is not Shinji, Rei (any version) or Asuka, add another 2 drinks

If the Spice Girls show up, don't choke on your 2 drinks

For every Heavensrun present, take 1 drink (cumulative)
...add 1 drink for every Heavensrun if they are in their cursed form/s

If a new character is introduced, take 1 drink
...subtract 1 drink if the character is only a one-shot cameo  ^_^
...add 1 drink if the character is a Ranma character
...add 2 drinks if the character is from another anime series
...add 3 drinks if the character is from a non-anime series
...add 4 drinks if the character is a self-insertion avatar  >_<
...and finish the bottle if the new character overpowers the current
cast

If any anime character is revealed to be related to a GRITter or
vice-versa, take 1 drink
...add 1 drink if any of the characters is out to kill/hurt/punish/smite
the other character
...add 2 drinks if the said GRIT character is a clone/long-lost sibling/
alternate dimension version of the said anime character

If any original GRIT character is revealed to be related to an already
present GRITter or vice-versa, take 1 drink
...add 2 drinks if the said GRITter is the creation of a different
author

If any character recieves a power-up, take 1 drink
...add 3 drinks if the said character are not the "heroes" of the post

If any character is revealed to have "The Fire Of The Dragon",
take 2 drinks
...finish the bottle if they immediately show instantaneous mastery
of a newly-discovered power

If Rumiko (Soun's recently-resurrected wife) shows up, take 2 drinks
...add 1 drink if she gets another one of those "seizures"
...add 2 drinks if her presence is actually relevant to the post

If Ranma and Akane's twin children show up, take 1/2 a drink for each
kid (Isamu and Nuriko).

If Scott gets blinded every time there is a flash of light, shout
"My eyes!!!" along with him and take 1 drink
...add 1 drink if Scott is elsewhere when the flash of light happens
...add 3 drinks if Scott is within sight of the flash of light

Whenever Ryuji pounces on somebody, take 1 drink
...add 2 drinks if that somebody pounces back

Whenever Ryuu Kumon kills somebody, take 1 drink
...finish the bottle if the victim was a named character

For every new Big Gun (TM) J2 introduces, take 1 drink
...add 2 drinks if the said weapon turns out to be actually effective

For every invention that Yohann builds, take 1 drink
...add 2 drinks the said invention actually works
...subtract 1 drink if the said invention blows up afterwards ^_^

If Megumi actually prevents a fight from breaking out, cheer the writer
on and take 1 drink as a toast
...add 1 drink and shrug if a fight still breaks out afterwards  ^_^

If Nezumi says anything profound and, thought-provoking, add 3 drinks
...subtract 2 drinks if the listeners chose to ignore her advice anyway
 ^_^

If anyone sneezes when someone else mentions their name, take 1 drink

If "Uhm" shows up whenever someone mentions his name, take 1 drink

If "Ah" shows up whenever someone mentions her name, take 2 drinks

If Cy shows up, convince him you're not a Commie by taking 3 drinks

If Susa, Tsuki, Tezca or any other god shows up when someone says,
"Oh, God..." or variations thereof, take 2 drinks

If Ryo-Hentai just shows up, PERIOD, then put up the blast windows and
underground bunkers and take 2 drinks.

If Death just shows up (for whatever reason), take 1 drink
...give the poor guy a drink if he starts complaining about Union laws
...DON'T give Death a drink if he mangages to grab something.

If there are any references to the King of Fighters(TM) series,
take 1 drink

If there are any references to Street Fighter(TM) series, take 1 drink

If there are any references to White Wolf(TM) RPGs, take 2 drinks

If there are any references to Magic(TM) CCG, tap for 3 drinks

If the language barrier is brought up, take 2 drinks for any other
language being mentioned/referred to other than English or Japanese.
(When everyone already knows that in GRIT, the language is not a
hurdle in understanding each other.)

LOCATIONS

If Zuni's is mentioned, take 1 drink
...add 1 drink when Tsurugi shows up wailing, "Zuni's! Why is it always
Zuni's!?!" or variations thereof

If Ucchan's is featured, take 1 drink  (NOT FOR EVERY CUSTOMER!!!
You want to commit suicide or somethin'?)

If the Cat Cafe is featured, take 1 drink for every customer present
(Too easy...)

If KnK's is featured, take 1 drink for every divine/infernal being
mentioned
...add 1 drink if there's a drinking spree going on
...add 2 drinks if nothing gets destroyed by the end of the post

If Maison Psychokku is featured, take 2 drinks
...add 1 drink if any sentient food is not mentioned

If Mystic Manor is featured, take 1 drink  (too easy)

RLs

For a new RL introduced, take 1 drink for every post the newbie makes
(For that day only!  No cheating!)

If any RL @baps another RL for goofing up a post, take 2 drinks
...add 2 drinks if the @bapping RL was mistaken
...add 2 drinks if the @bapped RL retaliates
...add 1 drink for every other RL that joins in the resulting fracas

If RL-Skrib lands on somebody while in Dragon form, take 2 drinks
...subtract 1 drink if he does it on purpose ^_^

If RL-Kiwi uses her "Save Aeris!" sign to @bap others, take 3 drinks

If the post contains nothing but RL interaction, guzzle the bottle

If RL-TL hurls a beanie baby at someone, take 1 drink

If an RL goes after Lurkers, take 2 drinks for every RL participating
in the hunt

If an RL announces that they're leaving GRIT, have a bottle in their
memory (unless you already had one from the POST section, in which
case forget it!).

If an RL announces their return from a long hiatus, take out the
special brew just for this occasion.
