I have been working on a new system for the characters page, the profiles page, and the picture gallery for, oh, over six months now.
Yes, I know this is entirely too long. And I still haven't finished.
For now, some long overdue changes have been made. I have finally added in the new home of GRIT - that it's now a mailing list. I have reworked the Description and Links pages accordingly. Also, I have thrown in a page about the upcoming Hiatus. This has been upcoming for a long time, yes, but I figure it should be on this page and noticed. It's something important to note if you want to join in GRIT, after all.

Just a minor update to the links, profile and character pages.
Updating the character page and remembering to update it when a profile changes is a right royal pain in the butt. I need to work out a way to automate it.

Almost setting new records in slackness, I have not updated this page for more than two months. Most of that time, Ash's profiles have been languishing in the depths of my hard drive, waiting for me to get around to posting them. Obviously, one of the changes this time has been adding Ash's profiles to the Profiles page.
I have also recognised that I classified a picture incorrectly. Kenji, a character from GRIT's dark prehistoric past, can now step forwards into the limelight.
In quite a surprise, there has not been a large collection of new pics added to the Gallery. In fact, there have been only two, and they're not completely new material either, being inking jobs. Mind you, Jason's inking job on Tina Greystroke has to be one of the most incredible ink-jobs known to humanity, so it's all good.

Alright, as usual, the only change has been to the Gallery. But this time, it's been a very very BIG change to the Gallery. The structure has been completely changed, and I've spent several sleepless nights writing code to automate and drastically speed up the entire process of adding pictures to the Gallery. Whereas it once took over 2 hours to add 30 pictures, now it takes a snap of the fingers.
As well as the massive organisational and structural change, there's been a few new pictures added as well. Bonus!
My next project will be automating the Characters and Profiles pages, and possibly combining them.

Just a quick update right now. There's been some updating of the GRIT Characters page, adding Chyron, Jesse, BJ, Makoto, Stark, and Zing. On the profiles page, we have updated guides for Jesse and BJ, and Makoto's character guide.
There are some new pictures, I just don't have the time for updating the pictures page tonight.

At Blade's suggestion and insistence, I am also trying out something that may very well eventually replace the profiles page. It is the GRIT Characters page, is split into pages by character (instead of being a big long list), and is even somewhat more graphical. It's only in the beginning stages at the moment, but it'll take off and get bigger - probably quite quickly too. Go check it out.

Gah! I publicly prostrate myself in Fox Lee's direction and offer one thousand apologies - I forgot to add in some of her pics in this morning's update. That, and there are some more pics from Jason in the Gallery, as well.
The Gallery now has over 600 pictures.
Just think of that. 600. I remember starting the page up and all the pictures were linked to from one page. How it's grown since then.

There are fifteen new pictures in the Gallery. Most are from Jason Heavensrun, however one is from a new contributor, Alex Kolliopoulos. Go have a looksee.
Also, voting for the GRIT Hentai Art Page's covergirl/boy is almost over and ends on the 7th of February. Details on the vote - who you can vote for and who to send your vote to - have been posted on the newsgroup. If you're at all interested in having a say for the future of GRIT hentai, then go check the vote out.
While on that subject, I will probably not be able to put a link to the GRIT Hentai Art Page when it goes active - Crosswinds' rules about pr0n, dontcherknow. So, again, if you're at all interested, keep an eye on the newsgroup to see what the link is when it goes active.

I had a report that the otaku mascots on the Otaku Mascots page aren't downloading correctly. To correct this (and save on disk space, and speed up download times) they are in .zip format. Also, as always, there has been an update to the Gallery. Including making sure the contributors list is up to date.

Huntress has been added to the Profiles page. A screensaver has been added to the Fun stuff page. And there's a whole cartload (over 100!) new pictures added to the Gallery, most by Fox.
My fingers are very sore from adding HTML for more than 100 pics. I'm off for something as little finger-intensive as possible. ^_^;

Also, the thread about the springs of Jusenkyo has been compiled into a short little piece on the current status of Jusenkyo in GRIT, linked to from the main page. Also, the omake piece The G-Ranger episode guide has been added to the Fun Stuff page.

I'm sure you've already noticed that there's been a bit of a revamp. I thought it was about time. The revamp is a work in progress; more things may change soon.
In other news, an up to date profile of Damian Stark is on the Profiles page, a nice picture of Trina has been added to the Gallery, and Jacen Heavensrun, kimi ga doko iru? has been added to the Fun Stuff page.

I finally got around to putting Al-X's pictures into the GRIT picture Gallery. While I was doing that, the URL of the gallery changed. You will have to update your bookmarks if you ever bookmarked it directly.

Well, the counter's only up to 180... but then again, this place hasn't been updated all that often. ^_^; In any case, the current change is to the Cute Girl Test page - Fox Lee has submitted a couple of results. Also, she has submitted the Cute Guy Test, which there is now a page for. Not many results yet, but there's sure to be some more.

Ryuji's character sheet has been added to the profiles page, and there are a few new pictures in the Gallery. Also, around two weeks ago, I added that counter you see down at the bottom of the page. As far as I can see, it's getting close to 70 visits. ^_^

It's been a while, hasn't it. Almost a month. There just hasn't been that much new stuff to update with lately.
For interest, I went searching and found the old GRIT guide I used to maintain back in 1996. It's interesting to see what things were like back then. It also has a little bit of ancient GRIT history ('ancient' meaning 'from 1996', of course). It's been added to the Guides page.
There's been some shuffling around of the main page, and a new 'Fun Stuff' section has been created. It's really just where all the old miscellaneous items have gone. This Fun Stuff section has however gained the old GRIT Omake Theatre thread for your reading pleasure. It's also gained the results of the Cute Girl Test.

The voting is in and the results are out - now we know such things as who in GRIT the most GRITters wanted to be turned into a pickle - Trina Kuonji. We also know some other things, such as sexiest female character and most intentionally pathetic hero. Check out the results of the Fifth Annual GRITTY Awards! (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3)
Also, some new and updated profiles on the GRIT character profiles page.
Finally, we have a new experimental messageboard: The GRIT Message board. This one actually has quoting, a rather useful feature. Its threading seems a bit wonky, last I checked, but the quoting alone makes it better than the first.

A smaller change this time - I've added Mizue's profile (which I'd somehow missed in the previous update) to the profiles page, rearranged the Active/Inactive/Gone For Good lists on the profile page, updated the GRIT Relations chart with a Kon Tatsu ?-? Emi relationship, and changed the link to Kiwi's page on the Links page.

First, the new things added to the page - there are a few new profiles on the Profiles page, for Kai, Neena and Ori-noki. Also, there are a couple of new pictures on the Pictures page, submitted by Jon. Finally, Scott's GRIT Relations chart has been added.
The other main thing for this update is that voting for the Fifth Annual GRITTY Awards is on. Yes, that's right, coming up very soon is GRIT's fifth birthday, on the 12th of April. This is an amazing milestone, and to mark it Kuno Christoffel is running a vote for various GRIT awards, such as Sexiest Female Character and the Character That Should Most Be Turned Into A Pickle. The news post and vote form is here. Voting closes in just a few days, so hurry to get your votes in!

Several new profiles on the Profiles page: Cal's, Deitsu's, SAP's, Ryuushin's, and a quick info sheet for the Mystery Girl/Midori/Artemis. Also, I've edited the Editor's note in Serana's combat guide so that it's a little more clear as to how Serana's Zooanthropy works. Finally, and at long last, I've moved the links to the various profile templates/info off of the Profiles page and back to the Guides page, where I think they belong.
There are a couple new new background stories on the Stories page.
I've updated the GRIT History page so that it has links to some external historical resources. This effectively means there is now a link to Paul's page from the GRIT History page as well. ^_^
The GRIT Theme Songs compilation has been updated.
You might have noticed I'm now putting a News section on this page. It was about time, I thought. A better format for it all to fit in is coming shortly.
