CONVENTIONS EXPLAINED -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- This is where I explain all the odd abbreviations and acronyms and such I'm using, just in case you're not used to this notation. The letters P, K and S stand for the three buttons, with P standing for Punch, K standing for Kick, and S standing for special. The letters D, U, F, and B stand for Down, Up, Forwards (towards your opponent) and Back (away from the opponent) on the joystick. When two of these letters are combined, it means a diagonal direction. For example, DF means Down and Forwards. If your opponent is on the right then this means the diagonal direction down and right on the joystick. N stands for the neutral position. (U) (UB) O O O (UF) \ | / (B) O-- (N) --O (F) / | \ (DB) O O O (DF) (D) This diagram illustrates the joystick positions for a character facing right. QCF and QCB stand for Quarter Circle Forwards and Quarter Circle Back, respectively. A QCF motion starts at the down position, rolls through DF to the F position. QCB starts at D and rolls through DB to B. HCF and HCB stand for Half Circle Forwards and Half Circle Backwards, respectively. HCF starts with B, and rolls through DB, D, DF to the F position. HCB starts at F, rolls through DF, D, DB, and ends with B. These motions are always accompanied by a final button press when you reach the final position in the motion. For example, QCF+P starts with D, rolls through DF, and ends with F+P. SC stands for Super Combo. GC stands for Guard Crush.
